Start learning Chinese! In this lesson you will learn vocabulary, reading, and knowledge of Chinese. You will also learn some simple sentences of Chinese.

Chinese Beginner

In this lesson, we will talk about some topics like animals, jobs, arts, books, history, food, law……or you can choose topics you like.  And I will teach all new words we meet in the conversation. This lesson is for learners of Chinese who wants to practice listening, speaking and learn some new vocabulary.

Conversation Practice

Hi! If you want your children to start to learn Chinese, properly feel free to book my lesson.
In this lesson, We will work on vocabulary, basic grammar, pronunciation, and listening.
It is hard for kids to just sit down before the computer for 1 hour, so I recommend starting from 30 minutes or 45 minutes first at the beginning. when kids are used to learning online, we can try 1-hour class.
Before the class, please make sure that your kid is in a safe place and he/she knows a little English or Chinese. I will need parents to prepare something before the class, so please check the message in Italki before our class. Thank you so much!

Chinese for Kids(6-12 years old)

In this lesson, we will focus on the HSK test (listening comprehension, speaking, reading comprehension, writing, vocabulary, and grammar).
I will use the HSK textbook(HSK Standard Course) to practice, but if you want to use your textbook, I can also find one.

HSK preparations

In this class, you can choose the style you want to have.
Normally I provide 3 kinds of class:
Storytelling: You choose a topic or key word, I ll help you and push you to make up a story.
Debate :You can choose some two-sides topic(I can also provide some), we will have a debate, try to talk about a topic deeply.
Presentation：You can provide some picture or key words of a thing, let's practice how to say it in logical way.

These kind of class are suitable for students who has learned Chinese for a short time(had better between HSK2-6), Debate style is better for high level students, and storytelling and presentation are suitable for all level (except HSK1) 
I also provide group class(2-3 people) for this class（10 USD per person/h）.

During my undergraduate studies from 2012 to 2016, I received comprehensive training in HSK (Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi) teaching methods. Since beginning my teaching career in 2017, I have successfully guided hundreds of students in passing the HSK exams. My familiarity with the HSK examination process leads me to believe that I am well-equipped to handle this course.

This certificate is to certify that from 2022 to 2023, I was dispatched by the Confucius Institute at the University of Canterbury in New Zealand to teach at a public primary school in Christchurch. The experience spanned one year, during which I served as a Chinese teacher at Chisnallwood Intermediate School, teaching Mandarin and Chinese cultural classes to 600 students aged 11-13, and also initiated a Chinese language club. During my 15 months in New Zealand, I served as a Chinese teaching assistant at a high school and a Chinese teacher at an elementary school. I was responsible for designing and teaching Chinese language and cultural courses to 22 elementary school classes. I guided students aged 11-13 to understand the basics of the Chinese language and to gain insights into Chinese national culture. This experience has been immensely beneficial to my teaching of Chinese to children.

I am currently a Chinese language instructor at Dalian University of Foreign Languages, where I teach courses in Elementary Chinese Listening, Advanced Chinese Speaking, and Advanced Chinese Writing. My teaching spans from beginner levels to academic writing. The teaching materials are in accordance with university regulations, utilizing textbooks such as "Developing Chinese." The content and design of my lessons are tailored to meet the needs of the students.
