私は今東京にいる、これは私の三回目の日本旅行だ。昨日は妻と高尾山に登った。よく歩いたので二人とも体がだるい、特にお尻と足が筋肉痛だ。頂上からの景色は最高だった、紅葉が見事だった。妻は今ホテルで休んでいる、私は何か軽い食べ物を、買うためにコンビニに向かっている。今日も天気は快晴だ。コンビニの入り口に入ると[いらっしゃいませ]と元気で明るい声が聞こえる。私は軽く店員に会釈するとまず、おにぎりがある棚に向かいこんぶと高菜が入っているものを探した。

I am in Tokyo now, this is my third trip to Japan. Yesterday my wife and I climbed Mt. 
Takao. We both felt tired from all the walking, especially my buttocks and legs. The view from the top was great, the autumn leaves were magnificent. My wife is now resting at the hotel and I am heading to the convenience store to buy something light to eat. The weather is fine again today. 昔は日本語の色は「赤」（red)、「青」(blue)、「白」(white)、「黒」(black)の４色しかなかったそうなんです。そして、この4色に「黄色」(yellow)と「茶色」(brown)の2色を合わせた6色が、古くから日本語で使われていた伝統的な色名とされています。
さて、この６色は　最後に「い」をつけると　形容詞になり、物の色を表現できます。
例えば、「赤い車」、「青い海」、「白い雪」「黒い髪」などですね。そして「黄色い花」、「茶色い馬」などと言うことができます。
では　この６色以外の色の形容詞は　どういいますか？例えば、greenの緑は「緑い」とは言いません。
その他の色は　○○色の　ということができますよ。
例えば、　greenの緑は「緑色の」となります。
「緑色の野菜」「ピンク色のTシャツ」「水色の傘」などですね！

ただ、例外もあって、赤、青、白、黒、なども　「赤色の靴」、「青色のかばん」などのように言うこともできます。

一点儿VS有点儿VS一下儿， how do we say “a little” in mandarin？

みなさん、こんにちは。
今日は私の娘の話をします。私の娘は小学4年生です。4歳のころからピアノを習い始め、毎日コツコツ練習する女の子です。そして、音楽教室の発表会や試験に加えて、毎年、何らかのコンクールに出ています。今年は、1年生の時に失敗してしまったコンクールに、もう一度挑戦したいと、自ら「意を決して」挑戦することになりました。
たかが小学1年生。失敗なんて、大げさだって感じですが、彼女は鮮明（せんめい）にそのことを覚えているようです。というのも、事ある毎に、そのことを口にするんです。困ったものです。
失敗の内容は、あまりの緊張で自分が選曲した課題曲ではなく、前の演奏者の曲を弾き始めてしまったのです。そして、途中で気づき、自分の曲を弾きなおしました。とてもショックだったようです。なので、彼女はそれ以降、このコンクールだけには出たくないと言い切っていました。当時（とうじ）は、わあわあと泣いていましたが、終わったことは悔（く）いても「後の祭り（あとのまつり）」です。
で、それから3年経（た）ち、迎えた1次予選。とても緊張して臨（のぞ）みました。1次予選の曲は、彼女にとってはとても簡単でした。でも、本当に緊張していたようです。1週間前ぐらいから「もう弾けない」「緊張する」と練習のときから言っていました。そして、本番。冒頭、慌てたようで、音を外してしまうという失敗。まさかの失敗。あー、あっという間に夏が終わってしまったという感じでした。終わったあとは、思わず私と二人で唖然（あぜん）としてしまい、言葉が出ませんでした。そして彼女の表情は、悔しさでいっぱいという感じでした。
でも、最初の失敗はあったものの、今回は一気に最後まで弾（ひ）き切（き）ったというのが、3年間の努力の成果だったと思います。
コンクールの日から一夜明け（いちやあけ）、結果発表。「あっ、番号があった！！」なんとか合格していたようで、大喜び。まだまだ緊張（きんちょう）が続く夏となりそうです。
