بَلّش عَصْر الإِنْتَرْنِت بالسِّتِينَات أو السَبْعِينَات خِلَال الحَرْب البَارْدِة بَين رُوسْيَا وأمْرِيكَا.
طَبعًا بَلّش بالجَيش الأَمْرِيكِي وكَان الهَدَف هو التَوَاصُل مَع الوُزَارَات.
بِشَكِل عَام, الإِخْتِرَاعَات أول شِي بِتْبَلِّش بِالجَيش وبَعْدَين بْتِنْتِقِل للنَاس.
بِالتْمَانِينَات صَار الإِنْتَرْنِت مَسْمُوح بَين النَاس.
وبِالتِسْعِينَات إِنْتَشَر الإنترنت وصَار كتير نَاس يِسْتَخْدِمُوه.
وبِبِدَايِة القَرْن الحَالِي الإِنْتَرْنِت وِصِل لأَغْلَب البْلَاد تَقْرِيبًا.
حَالِيًا, الإِنْتَرْنِت صَار مَوجُود بِكِل بَيت ومُهِم كتير للحَيَاة اليَومِيِة.
وبَعَد كُورُونَا كْتِير نَاس صَارُوا يِسْتَخْدِمُوه مْشَان الشِغِل.

Today's topic is, how to be more confident when speaking in meetings.

Some of you might know this already but my full time job is working with non native English speakers, one to one, on video calls to improve their confidence and ability when using English at work. And the number one thing that people tell me they need to improve is their confidence in meetings! How can I become more confident in meetings, how can I express my ideas better, how can I make my meetings easier. This is what we’re going to discuss today. 

For non-native English speakers, speaking in meetings can be a challenging and daunting task. Whether you’re presenting in front of a large group or just participating in a small discussion, it can be difficult to feel confident in your ability to express yourself. However, with a few simple tips, you can start speaking more confidently in meetings sooner rather than later.

At the same time, we’re going to look at some useful vocabulary and sentence structures that we can use to do this. So if you want to grab a pen to take some notes, feel free, and let’s get started.

Oh, and right at the end we’ll review a couple of the more interesting pieces of vocabulary I’ve included in today’s podcast.

おはようございます！Atsushiです。
今日は、北海道でも、大阪でもなく、岡山にいます。
ボランティアがあったので、岡山に来ました。

今日の岡山の天気は今、雨です。
気温は、26℃です。

さて、今日は岡山にいるので、少し岡山について話します。

岡山は"晴れの国(はれのくに)"とよばれています。
なぜかというと、岡山は、1年間にふる雨の量がとても少ないからです。基本的には晴れの日が多い岡山ですが、今日は残念ながら、雨です。

昨日、倉敷、という場所に行きました。岡山県の中にあります。岡山市のとなりが倉敷市です。そこに、倉敷美観地区というものがあります。そこに行ってきました。

倉敷美観地区は1642年に幕府直轄地"天領"となりました。
その時の政府が直接管理した、ということですね。
ここに流れる倉敷川は当時運河として利用されていて、商売が栄えた場所でした。

そして、その街並みは戦前までの建物が今も9割残っているそうです。おそらく建て替えなどはあったと思いますが、90%ほどが昔のままのもの、というのは、とてもおもしろいですね。

日本には、京都をはじめ、いろんな場所で昔からの街並みを残している場所があります。

東京のような大都市に行くのもいいですが、このような歴史的な場所に行くのも良いと思います。
