You know, Chinese New Year is just around the corner. THE Spring Festival is a BIG national holiday in China. It's the most important holiday of the year. It's the time when the whole family gets together, just like at Christmas. Most people try their best to get back home and have AN annual dinner withTHEIR family or relatives to celebrate the coming of the new year. Actually, there is a fun legend about Chinese New Year. A long long TIME ago, there WAS a big scary beast named Nian, whose name meanT year. On the last day of every lunar year, it would sneak into the village and SCARE everyone, even the animals, until a wise man told the VILLAGERS that Nian was afraid of three things: loud noises, fire and the colour red. The next time Nian came, the VILLAGES BANGED the drums as loud as they COULD, lit a lot of fireworks and wore the color red from head to toe. Nian RAN far away and never came back. After that, the people started celebrating the coming of the new year WITH THOSE SYMBOLS.
GOOD JOB. Sorry, italki removed the correction symbols :-( so I just CAPITALIZED the mistakes.
