It was sunny today. After dusk, Mom took MeeMaw and me out for a nice stroll around the neighborhood.
Last night, I bought Dad a T-shirt as his birthday present. But, alas! It said “Good grief, Charlie Brown!” on the front. The word “grief” really triggered Dad’s nerves. He couldn’t stand the word, even though we all know the phrase doesn’t literally mean anything about grief. It’s all about MeeMaw’s situation, right? However, just for the sake of his mental health, I had tossed that T-shirt right away and brought him a new Mickey Mouse one. He’ll definitely accept this one. But anyway, I can’t blame him. I should have thought more deeply before making the purchase. After all, now Dad is the most sensitive one at home.
