🌍 One Month in Thailand: My Journey So Far 🌍 Part 2 After leaving Phuket, I made my way to Phi Phi, which didn’t provide the best weather and essentially rained non-stop the entire week. Some nights, however, the rain would temporarily stop, allowing us to check out the nightlife and visit the famous Reggae bar. This bar is well known amongst backpackers and allows anyone to step in the ring and try a few rounds of boxing. On the last day on Phi Phi the sun finally came out, and I went on a tour that allowed me to explore some incredible sites, including Maya Bay, a secluded beach that was made famous by the 2001 movie The Beach, starring Leo Dicaprio. Our tour guide, who was dressed as Batman, gave us a presentation on the islands and then led us to swim with baby Leopard and Blacktip sharks in the shallow waters, which was a highlight for me. We then visited the notorious Monkey beach, where I managed to keep all my possessions safe from the monkeys this time. The tour ended with a visit to Bamboo Island, a protected and uninhabited island surrounded by crystal clear-waters. Despite the rain, Phi Phi had its moments, but I was ready for a change when I headed to Krabi. Staying in Ao Nang, situated close to Railey and Pai Plong beach. This area is much more chilled-out and perfect for watching the sunset and the stars. One of the highlights of our time here was visiting the Emerald and Crystal Pools. We were able to swim in the Emerald Pool, a clear blue natural spring in the middle of the forrest. Even though I managed to get completely sunburnt on the hour-long motorbike ride there, it was really worth it! If you are ever in Krabi, I highly recommend this hidden gem. Our final adventure in Krabi took us to the Tiger Cave Temple. This site has no actual tigers, but it does feature a cave and a breathtaking view from the top.The climb was rough with 1,237 steps, but the view at the temple made up for it.
