ielts writing task 1: pie chart
Movie preferences
The pie charts represent movie choices over three age groups (what are the age groups?) in the country of Evonia. They show that, generally speaking/in general, younger people prefer action movies and animations, whereas older ones people prefer documentaries and dramas (no mention of the middle/third group then) If you had said at first: young (20-35), middle-aged (36-50) and older (51-65) it would have allowed you to use young(A), middle(B) and older(C) throughout! .
The most popular genre in the two young/younger age groups (A and B) is animations, at 28% for those from 20-35 years old young(A) and 25% for middle(B) those from 36-50 years old (you still only mention 2 groups so it is unclear at this point). This proportion decreases(???) (decreases in what circumstances - there must be another dimension in the charts - perhaps year?) slightly to 24% for those in the youngest age group young(A) with a small decline to 20% in middle(B) the middle-aged group. Documentaries and dramas are less popular with young audiences, at 11%, 15% respectively in the youngest age group and at 16%, 20% respectively in the middle-aged group. In By contrast, these genres are most popular with people from 51- 65 years old, constituting a significant percentage of movie selection, at 63%. Only 7% of this age group prefers (case should agree!) action film and 10% prefer animations. It is also interesting to note that romances have a steady number percentage of audiences over the three age categories within the range of 19% and 22%.
You missed out by not giving the full picture up front. You are also missing one of the variable involved, since it seems there are at least two sets of figures for each group.
