my experience of learning english 545 I am here to describe my experience of learning English. I started to know English from first grade. That year I was six. In class, I learned bacis phrases for greeting, describing objects. I don't have much memory for the first year of English learning. Only one thing that I still remember is reading vocabulary list. One of my classmate who is good at English would lead the whole class reading the list. One of the new words that I learned that year was "earth". "The earth orbits the sun" said him in Chinese. Everytime when we came to the word "earth", he would repeat that sentence. I was secretly admiring him, because he know the earth orbits the sun. Soon, my family moved in my second grade, and I transfered to a private school. My English class continued, luckily with the same series of text book. During the whole elementary school, I studied English for taking text, and some short plays or conversations that were requested to perform in school celebrations. I stayed in the same private school for my junior high school, which is 7th to 9th grade. Just to clearify the school system in China: 6 years of elementary school, following 3 years of junior high school, following 3 years of senior high school, then four years of college... Back to my English learning. I hardly felt my English skill was not improved during this time, because the first English class here was still titled "Good Morning" and the content were still basic greetings. Plus I was lazy and did not realize the importance of English for my life, so I let it slip and got straight As for all English classes. Following is one year of high school life, different school, same story: starting from "Good Morning" again. Then my family moved again, and I began to really use English. We came to America. I attended a couple years of high school, and now I'm in college. I learned to write essay and started to read books in English. I can see my progress. However, I still have a lot of space to improve. In writing, the flow between sentences aren't good and I'm still using basic vocabularies. In speaking, maybe because I hang out with chinese speaking friends too much, it takes me time to think for telling long stories.

#Fantastic Job!  All the corrections I made were very minor (not very serious).  Keep up the hard work and you will master English very soon.
