Today is the Chinese New Year’s Eve, in our traditional culture, people should get up early and put-up Spring Couplets on the door. Just like what you can see in the picture, I have finished all the things. If you look carefully, you will see that there is a pair of rabbits on the couplet, it means this year is the year of rabbit. What a lovely and adorable animal. After putting up couplets, setting up firecrackers is another interesting tradition. The purpose of setting up firecrackers is to use their loud noises to get rid of or take away all the old bad spirits(?) and welcome new benevolent ones in the beginning of spring. The couplets always give some good wishes which make us feel hopeful and which inspires us to try our best to do everything well in the whole year. This is a great time for us to say goodbye to the last year and enjoy the new year with great passion. Spring is the season of hope. Just make your new year's resolutions and put them into practice.
