How should I translate the last name "Mikos"? Please take a look on the details! Look, I know a guy that his last name is Mikos, because it was translated from arabic to Portuguese, the language spoken in my country, so, I think in arabic it may be something like that : مِكُسْ , but, I used tashkeel to represent the vowels sound. Or can I write like this : ميكوس ? How do I know which one is right? Maybe, neither! hehe Thanks!

I think ميكوس is right,مِكُسْ is very wrong. and it depends on how you pronounce this name in Portuguese. when you write "Mikos" now,is it in English or Portuguese? sorry,I don't know if there is a big difference between English and Portuguese in the pronunciation or not.

hi I think it must be ميقوس but letter ق substituted by k which is كـ in Arabic because there is no ق sound in your language

Usually we use vowel letters in Arabic to represent the relatively long vowel sounds in the foreign name, and use the inflection marks (tashkeel) for the sounds that are 'relatively' short. I think that the \i\ in Mikos is longer that the \o\; therefore, it would be ميكُس

it would be ميكوس , cause Mi spelled مي Ko spelled كو not just with vowels cause you need to extend the time of spelling it >> short answer ميكوس :P
