"Kulshi" meaning? I have heard the phrase "kulshi tamam" to mean "everything is ok." So I thought kulshi meant "everything" or "all." Just recently I heard an Iraqi phrase "Shako mako" ("what's new?") and the response "Kulshi mako" to mean "nothing is new." What does kulshi mean? Nothing or everything?

I think that the origin of the words shu ku ma ku is shu yakun ma yakun....cause in other dialects they also say "shu fi ma fi ? "...( though I'm not sure but I can't thing of another origin of this words o_O) shu شو= what ( in dialect ) fi في= is (there) (also in dialect) ma ما= not yakun يكون = be/exist so both mean like "what is there what's not ?" or ( what's being what's not ) kulshi maku= everything is not there ( so it means there is nothing new) you could also answer: maku shi = there is nothing shi شيء= something or a thing hope it's kind of clear :)
