How to pronounce "neither" and "either"? Hello! Please explain me the right pronunciation of the word “neither”. In all textbooks and dictionaries which I have seen this word has the transcription “naiðə”. Anyway I often hear in the movies or in the songs “neither” is pronounced as “niðə”. That’s why I have some questions about it. Are the both variants correct? Is there any dependence on the area (probably “naiðə” is widespread in the Britain but “niðə” in Canada)? Is “niðə” a proper form that I may use in any society or it’s informal? Thank you in advance!
