what is mean "rest back"? I've watched some video and that said " The government rested back control on live TV on the street fo Turkey." in there I couldn't understand what the rested back meaning. if someone knows this, please help me.

The word you are hearing is most likely 'wrest' : https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/wrest . The government wrested back control -> The government regained control by force, or with difficulty. Hope this helps!

Do you have a link to the video and did it have subtitles? I have not hear that phrase before, so I am also unsure what "rested back" might mean in this specific context. However, is it possible they said "wrestled back"? It would mean the government fought back for control. Hope this can help you~

You mean "wrest" back, not "rest" back. You can "wrest" control of something (a company, the government) = to take control by force.

I think you'd misheard. I've checked out 'to rest back' in the Longman Phrasal Verbs Dictionary (it contains 5,000 verbs) and there is no such verb.
