“mira” or “mire”
can anyone tell me the difference between "mira" and "mire"
Example 1:
Mire, este es el señor Alonso
Example 2:
Mira, Ella está en la ducha...
do they both mean "to look" when you trying to get the attention of the one you are talking with? when to use mire and when to use mira ?
In Spanish you can talk with a people in a familiar manner or in a respect manner, when you are talking in first one you can use MIRA, because is more unformal, or MIRE when you are talking to some one with RESPECT, in a formal manner

你好 Yanqin!
1) Mire, éste es el señor Alonso.
In this sentence, you're treating the other person formally, like: 您看,这是Alonso先生
2)Mira, ella está en la ducha...
In this sentence, you're treating the other person informally: 看, 她在洗澡
Best wishes

¡Hola Yanqin!
En ambos casos, utilizas el modo imperativo (para dar una orden o mandato).
La diferencia es el grado de respeto o la formalidad con la que le hablas a la otra persona.
MIRA: Informal (tú)
MIRE: Formal (usted)
Espero que te sirva.
Saludos,
Estefi

Hello!
The difference between "mira" and "mire" is that you use "mire" when talking to someone in a formal way (like your boss). You use "mira" when talking to someone in a casual way (like a friend).
