Privet Anna. "Winter" is the name of a season, so it doesn't need the article "the", just like we wouldn't call you "the Anna"! "But" is a connecting word, joining two related parts to make one sentence. With short adjectives, (in this case, "strong"), we use "-er" at the end. Long adjectives, like "difficult", would have "more" in front. "The other roses" - here we need "the", because we are talking about particular roses. "Had rained", because it is something that happened before the rose got better. Please don't worry about mistakes - we can learn from them. Keep practicing.
