Native Italian / writer of LGBT books in Italian/ teaching Italian language I just started teaching Italian. I plan to devote myself, over time, to any single student.

I first started teaching English online for a Chinese online school in 2019, then trying to get a specific title to teach my mother tongue, I got a teaching qualification in Jan 2020. Currently I am teaching Italian in Moscow in a local school where use DILIT method, which doesnt require the students' mother tongue as metalinguistic language.

I have been teaching languages since the age of 19 and have a lot of experience dealing with different types of people. I do have a lot of material prepared and I make it available to my students via email, Skype and WhatsApp. I am very organized, but the three decades of teaching experience allows me to 'go with the flow' if needs be.

I have been teaching on Italki since 2021. During the study period, I had many pedagogical possibilities to witness the importance of preparing a good lesson and always having a back-up plan. I have never liked boring lessons and I like dynamism, so I would define myself a teacher who likes that students can learn having fun and with joy. At the same time, I adore grammar and I think it is very important to study and internalize it in order to speak well a foreign language. Finally, during my classes I like to speak a little bit about culture of the language we are studying and to do some language structure’s comparisons which are very interesting to understand how languages work (a little bit of linguistics help).

In addition to having CAE (Cambridge Advanced English) and TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certificates, I have been teaching English and Italian online since 2017 and have gained a great deal of experience. Moreover, I have experience teaching English here in Sicily privately and from time to time I work as a translator. In addition, tools such as songs, texts, articles, movies, TV series are very effective for beginning to approach a new language. Teaching Italian to different people, I have noticed that a main element is enthusiasm in discovering things that one does not know. That is why I always try to hold interesting conversations and make sure to create a nice environment. While learning Italian you can discover the culture and this country through texts etc.
