For formal lessons, I make individual lesson plans for each student and use pdf, real-life materials (menus, etc.) and textbooks.
For informal sessions, I don't make lesson plans. Students prepare a topic and focus on conversation. Informal sessions are aimed at intermediate to advanced students, as a certain level of proficiency is required to manage a somewhat fluid conversation.Meu material de ensino

I had a lovely four-hundredth lesson with Kiyomi-sensei! We read and discussed a story about a ghost. Kiyomi-sensei has been my teacher for eight years, and I look forward to having many more lessons with her! : )

I had another incredible lesson with Kiyomi-sensei! We finished translating the scene from “Friends.” Kiyomi-sensei always has a clear plan for a lesson which helps me learn a great deal!
