I am a very calm person, I really enjoy silence and nature. I love spending time with my family and my close friends. I love to travel, so I lived two years in the United States as an au pair and I enjoy traveling arround my country . My goal as a teacher is to create a space in which students have the opportunity to have an enriching experience that transcends academic boundaries. Especially as ELE teachers, I think that the cultural aspects of our country and of Spanish in general are inherent to teaching. From my personal experience I know that learning a new language implies acquiring a new vision of life and expanding our consciousness to a world of new possibilities and that is what I always try to convey to my students.Minhas aulas e estilo de ensino
I am a very flexible teacher and the first thing I do is to identify the level and needs of my students.
Likewise, I really like that my students suggest topics to develop the classes and generate spaces for dialogue on various subjects such as cultural differences.
Also, I am from Colombia so you will listen to my Colombian accent and I will teach you local vocabulary. However, I always try to contextualize and explain other ways of expressing something that exist in other Spanish-speaking countries.Meu material de ensino

Profesora de EspañolCurrently, I am a teacher at a rural public school, where I work with teenagers between 11 and 17 years old. I teach Spanish to students in 10th and 11th grade (the last two years of high school in Colombia) and some additional subjects such as English and Ethics in other grades; as part of the adaptation to the context in which I work.
2021 - 2023
Profesora de primariaI worked in two campuses of the rural school where I studied as a child, teaching all subjects from Preschool to 5th grade. This experience gave me the opportunity to share and learn from each community, making it an incredibly enriching experience.
2020 - 2021
Profesora de EspañolI had the opportunity to work for an online school in my home country. I was in charge of teaching Spanish for any grade, from primary to high school. It was a great opportunity to learn and grow. Besides, I worked with wonderful teachers. However, I decided to quite so I can work in a school in the countryside.
2021 - 2023
Tutora de españolI had the opportunity to teach Spanish to two Chinese friends, one of whom was my Mandarin tutor. They were learning Spanish for fun, and since I was also learning their language, we often talked about cultural topics. Additionally, we were all still learning English, which made it fun to discover differences between the three languages and learn new words during our tutoring sessions. However, we couldn’t continue because one friend had a baby and the other got a full-time job.

Tutora de españolMy firth experience teaching Spanish as a second languages was when I was still a college student and I have de opportunity to teach Spanish to the exchange students during one semester. It was a wonderful opportunity and it make me realized that is something that I really enjoy doing.
