I’ve interviewed people and written articles since I was a teenager. Finding out about what makes people tick and writing their stories is a passion of mine. Visual arts are also my passion. I am a photographer and collage artist. I also play a bit of ukulele. I live in Toronto, Canada, with my husband, our goofy beagle, and one green budgie bird.Minha atuação como professor
My interest in people’s backgrounds translates into compassion and an interest in my student’s backgrounds. When I meet a student for the first time, I assess their level of English and then tailor lessons to a slightly higher level to engage the most learning. I am clear, concise, friendly, and patient. When I correct a student’s mistakes, I do not make them feel pressure or stress during the lesson. I will clarify and repeat back what they said, but in a correct manner so they can learn. I also add humor to the mix. A shared laugh is an icebreaker and helps students relax and learn.
I incorporate photographs and music in my lessons. Visual art is a universal language and students can learn everything from vocabulary to grammar by talking about photographs. Music helps the brain to remember vocabulary and sentence structure. With my library of online lessons to glean from, I tailor each lesson to a student’s needs.Certificados
