Hi there! I'm an avid conversationalist who never runs out of things to talk about. With a passion for teaching, I thrive on helping others improve their intercommunication skills. Having spent ten years in Japan, I developed a deep appreciation for Japanese culture. I speak Spanish and English fluently and I have a basic level of Japanese. As a vocational teacher, I approach my lessons with meticulous preparation. Connecting with students at all levels, I strive to understand their needs and create a relaxed atmosphere based on trust, allowing language to flow smoothly. I adapt to each student's personality and goals, being flexible and supportive or assertive and strict when necessary. To stay updated, I constantly research the latest methodologies and incorporate digital and interactive tools such as Kahoo, Genially, Quizlet or Anki. I am always open to suggestions and firmly believe in the reciprocal nature of the teaching-learning process. Teaching Spanish and English is my forte. With experience in online instruction for the past five years, I have honed my skills to meet the highest levels of exigence. In Spanish, I cover Business Spanish, daily-life Spanish, exam preparation (DELE, SIELE, etc.), and conversational Spanish. For English, I offer Business English, English for sports trainers, language perfection, conversational English, English for children, and exam preparation (TOEFL, Cambridge, and more). I have studied Spanish before and understand it quite well, but I’ve always had a huge block when it comes to speaking, especially in a professional environment. Taking classes with Diego helped me build the confidence I needed. He consistently provides clear explanations, encourages you, and offers notes during the class that are incredibly helpful for studying and reviewing. He also often tailor classes to my specific needs and situations.
I was finally able to conduct full meetings in Spanish at work and even lead training sessions for our team in Latin America—a huge milestone for me. I highly recommend Diego as a teacher! Muchas gracias por todo!

Diego continues to be the best teacher around! He has been my tutor for over a year now, and something I very much appreciate is that even though I have had starts and stops with learning Spanish and my goals change, I always feel encouraged coming back and learning with Diego.
