Kumiko

I can’t believe that I have taken more than 100 lessons with Kumiko sensei. Time flies during her lessons because they are always so engaging and enjoyable. I had wanted to learn more about Japanese history, and sensei created a lesson plan that is easy to follow and never boring. She carefully prepares each lesson, organizing key vocabulary and historical events in chronological order, which makes it much easier to understand. She also introduced a manga-based textbook to help me learn the differences between similar grammatical structures. This makes studying more enjoyable and not too overwhelming. Additionally, we use anime as a learning tool—I chose a few lines before class and did my dictation, and we go through them together, clarifying any questions about sentence structure or meaning while practicing shadowing. Thanks to sensei’s dedication, I can continue learning with enjoyment. I truly appreciate her guidance!

Kumiko has been teaching me everything about job interviews and business Japanese. She and I are preparing for Japanese job interviews and writing my resume. I appreciate that she always plans and prepares for our lessons. After taking her class, I fell more confident to use Japanese for work and private.

I had a lot of fun during the lesson, especially during roleplay conversation practice. I feel confortable with adjectives and te-form verb conjugation.

くみこ先生 is always well prepared. She prepares the lessons days in advance so you can review them and practice to help the session go smoother. She's very patient and will go at a pace that suits you. She has tailored the lessons to my needs, which is very welcome. She will fill every minute with practice so you get the most out of your time with her. Can't say enough good things, highly recommended!
