Hi, I am Fay!
I am from Greece and I live in Germany.
I studied Greek Philology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens with a specialisation in Linguistics. As a professional Greek language teacher I love teaching Greek as a second or foreign language. On italki, I am both teacher and lerner and I love the prosess of learning a new language and meeting a new culture. I like talking about various topics such as arts, literature, nature, history etc. Some of my hobbys are reading, cooking, pottery making, yoga and travelling.Minha atuação como professor
As a teacher I am very patient and together we will create a safe environment where you will be able to express yourself in Greek. As a language lerner myself, I believe the only way to learn a language is to talk as much as possible so don't be afraid to make mistakes!Minhas aulas e estilo de ensino
In our first lesson we will discuss about your goals and I will adjust my teaching method to your needs!
For A1-C2 students: We will talk about different interesting topics according to your level. At the end of our class I will send you a PDF with the new words/phrases we learned.
I can also provide you with homework and extra learning material (videos, songs, texts)
For the lessons we will follow a coursebook
For A1 students or for those who want to obtain a certificate: I will provide you with all the necessary learning material and we will focus on all 4 language aspects (listening, speaking, writing, reading)Meu material de ensino

Do bacharelado - LinguisticsMy Bachelor's degree in Philology is an interdisciplinary degree which consists of 60 modules and is focused on 3 core areas:
-Classics (Ancient Greek and Latin)
-Modern Greek and Byzantine Studies
-Linguistics
Apart from the aforementioned core areas the degree offers mandatory pedagogical and education courses and equips graduates with certified didactic and pedagogical proficiency for the job search in the education sector.

2019 - 2020
TutorAs a tutor at Point I learned how to communicate effectively with my students and since my students where children I learned how explain complex grammar rules in a simple way. During this period I developed my own PDF's with learning material and exercises that can be used by children and adults. Concurrent to my other official positions, I have also worked as a freelance and volunteer teacher to adults. For this reason I adjusted my learning material and I also have several books.
