Hello there ,I'm Declan, a native and qualified English teacher from Ireland. I am a Celta (Cambridge) qualified English teacher and I hold an honours Business degree with the University of London International School.Minha atuação como professor
With 15 years of experience, I’m a passionate English teacher dedicated to improving language skills for diverse learners. I use creative, effective methods to engage students and help them achieve their goals. I am currently teaching English in Mexico City and have previously taught English in Madrid, Spain and my home city of Dublin, Ireland.Minhas aulas e estilo de ensino
In my conversation classes I help students improve fluency and become more confident using the language. Error correction is essential! I correct any mistakes and work in an encouraging and supportive way to help reach objectives. I try to choose topics that are fun and engaging and always make sure that the student does most of the speaking!
IELTS, FCE, CAE are exams that I have helped lots of students get the result they needed. The speaking, use of English and writing questions are the focus in these classes. I also suggest useful vocabulary and provide material for students.

Declan is a very good teacher, he changes the methods when is necessary (he notices it), he does a good balance between grammar classes and conversation classes, that’s why I’ve been doing English class with him for 4 months and I maintain it every week.

I have tried different teachers on Italki. I can tell Declan is one of the best teachers by far. He always brings great materials to the class, helps me to speak as much as possible, and corrects the mistakes right away. I highly recommend his classes.

Declan always gives me loads of chances that I speak in the class. Along with feedback for grammatical errors or my uncertainty about using new expressions and it helped me correct my mistake on spot :)
