I highly recommend Cyril! The focus of his courses are on actively using new vocabulary and grammar. This is fantastic for me as a student and I have definitely noticed an improvement in both my speaking and listening skills. The courses are very well-rounded and I especially enjoy how he incorporates small explanations of French culture into his lessons. He gives very detailed and clear explanations when I do make mistakes and is always prepared with a variety of exercises to reinforce my learning. While he does speak at normal (fast) speed in French, he will slow down or repeat what he says as necessary, so I consider this an advantage towards attuning my ear to normal conversational French. Overall, I find Cyril to be a well-prepared and patient professor. He seems to really enjoy sharing the French language and culture with his students and I feel more confident using French after each of our lessons.

Cyril is an exceptional teacher, the best I’ve found on this platform. He knows grammar inside and out, is very patient, and can explain everything clearly. His lessons are very engaging, and he asks interesting questions, always taking my level and difficulties into account. Cyril é um professor excepcional, o melhor que encontrei nesta plataforma. Ele conhece a gramática a fundo, é muito paciente e consegue explicar tudo de forma clara. Ele faz perguntas interessantes, sempre levando em consideração o meu nível e dificuldades. Com certeza, agendarei mais aulas com ele.

Cyril is a professional teacher. He is interesting, kind and thoughtful and makes the lessons very enjoyable. I have had 10 lessons with him so far and look forward to many more.

Cyril is a friendly and professional teacher that will help boost your confidence in your French learning journey. In the first lesson, he did a level check, after which he gives you a general plan of what to expect for upcoming lessons. He utilizes Google Docs, so students are able to instantly obtain notes with new vocabulary, lesson points, and cultural insights. He encourages students to freely use and edit these notes from the lesson and has a student centered approach. There is a good balance of speaking opportunities, writing and reading my journal entries, and listening practice through short videos in French. Whenever necessary, he is able to give explanations in to me in English. I would highly recommend Cyril, as he has patiently helped build my French language skills and I have been able to speak to native speakers more and more.
