English: Last year I decided to leave my corporate job and travel the world for a few years. While Studying I started tutoring English and German online as a change of pace from my studies. Now that I'm traveling and have more time on my hands I want to pick it up again. I love hearing people's stories and adventures.
I love to ride motorcycles, surf and dive... in fact, anything in the water is my cup of tea.
Deutsch: Letztes Jahr habe ich entschieden meinen Bürojob los zu werden und für ein paar Jahre die Welt zu bereisen. Während meinem Studium habe ich Englisch und Deutsch untericht als Ablenkung zum Alltag gegeben. Nun möchte ich dies wieder aufnehmen und eure Geschichten hören.Minha atuação como professor
English:I grew up between South Africa and Switzerland, having spent an almost equal amount of years in both places. Because of this I am fluent in English, German and Swiss-German. I also love to learn new languages and am conversational in Dutch, Afrikaans and French. At the moment I am also learning Spanish and hope to be conversational in that soon.
Deutsch: Zwischen Südafrika und der Schweiz aufgewachsen, und fast gleichviel Zeit an beiden Orten gelebt. Spreche ich sowohl Englisch, wie auch Deutsch und Schweizerdeutsch fliessend. Ich liebe es selbst auch neue sprachen kennen zu lernen und habe deshalb Niederländisch, Afrikaans und Französisch auf gesprächssicheres niveau gelernt.Minhas aulas e estilo de ensino
English: I prefer a casual lesson that focuses on the flow of conversation. I find in my case, that even if I'm beginning to learn a language, conversation on a basic level helps me improve my skills the fastest. I like to promote this in my lessons as well, rather focusing on conversations on a given topic than head on lecturing. Of course I will give advice and answer questions and uncertainties. I try and lead the entire lecture in the language I'm teaching without breaking from it as this has been the most effective method for me when learning new languages.
