I was born and raised in Seoul South Korea, currently living in Vancouver Canada. I also lived in London for over a year and Little rock Arkansas for two years. Living and studying in different countries allowed me to meet various people and experience different cultures. I've worked in the education industry for over 10 years including international language schools and career community colleges. I am interested in outdoor activities, biking, Kayaking, swimming. I play many different sports such as tennis, badminton and basketball. As much as I like spending time outside, I also like spending time home when it's raining or whenever I feel like being lazy.

Another great time with teacher Vancoupe! If you are looking for a fun, patient and challenging teacher who will boost your motivation to keep studying Korean... Teacher Vancoupe is the person! This lesson we went over more grammar and had mostly free talk. Sometimes it took me a minute to get my sentences together but teacher Vancoupe didn't rush me or make me feel bad because I was struggling with not knowing that much vocabulary. If anything he motivated me to learn more because speaking Korean with him was not scary but fun. I liked that he guided the class and his examples were easy to grasp. He is also patient in answering questions in the lesson and going over it until I get it. I am so happy to be learning from him and always encouraged when leaving the class. Thank you teacher for your hard work.

First lesson with teacher Vancoupe! All I can say...Amazing! This was a super encouraging lesson. I was nervous to speak Korean at first but teacher Vancoupe was so relaxing and made it easy to speak. I also liked the pace he set in speaking and how he helped me to understand words I didn't know without making me feel bad. He was also very relatable which made speaking to be more comfortable. I loved that I could have fun and laugh while learning. I really appreciated how he used the time and how he spoke more Korean than English. So glad to meet you teacher Vancoupe looking forward to more lessons!
