I am friendly, flexible and patient, and passionate about teaching. I am currently learning a couple of new languages myself and know how challenging speaking in a second language can be, so I will work to make you feel comfortable talking in your new language.

I have more than 16 years experience teaching teenage students in a class room setting and on a full time basis. I also have more than 6 years experience teaching languages online to students of all ages including adults and have taught over 2,000 classes.

I can prepare structured lessons for you and we can focus on grammar and learning new words. Or we can have lessons that are more conversational.
Each student learns differently and I can structure your lessons to your specific needs and learning style. We can have conversations about different topics, while I help you improve your pronunciation and fluency. I only had an hour-long lesson, but I’d go as far as to say that Lucia is a real gem. She asks plenty of questions, corrects mistakes, and explains thoroughly. Her love for grammar is both intimidating and encouraging, and her lovely personality made the lesson enjoyable. I left feeling motivated to continue working toward my Spanish language goals.

I was so impressed with Ms. Lucia that I purchased a 20 lesson package. Lucia is an intelligent educated teacher that knows her occupation, both English and Spanish. She helps me understand WHY something is said and pauses while I take forever to think of a word- very patient. She will customize the class to your comfort level as she did for me. I look forward to purchasing another 20 class package with Ms. Lucia!
