I am Antonella, a qualified Language Teacher, a Certified Medical Translator, and a Cardiovascular Perfusionist 👩⚕️.
I love travelling and learning new languages. I also love science⚗️ and psychology. I lived abroad for 10 years working as a teacher, barista ☕and freelance translator 📝.
I worked for the Italian radio🎙️and attended diction courses; for this reason, I speak standard Italian and articulate words well, using all 7 vowel sounds of standard Italian correctly (which makes all the difference when it comes to speaking).Minha atuação como professor
Since I have personally gone through the language learning process, I know quite well what it feels like to learn a language and I can understand how difficult it can be. It took me almost 10 years to learn English and I am still trying to improve my language skills.
I believe in a relaxed teaching method that puts students at ease.
I love linguistics, in particular phonetics and I like to help students acquire the correct pronunciation and intonation from the very first lesson.Minhas aulas e estilo de ensino
Lesson content is flexible and tailored to your goals and language level. I always try to make my lessons as interesting and effective as possible.
I am a good listener and I always let the student talk as much as possible. I don't like to interrupt students while they talk (unless specifically requested). I usually write all the corrections in the chat window so that you can correct your mistakes as you speak or read them after class.

È stato bellissimo rivedere Antonella dopo tanto tempo. Sono così felice che possiamo ricominciare le lezioni :) Lei è una bravissima insegnante e molto simpatica. Oggi abbiamo prima fatto una chiacchierata libera per parlare un po' di tutto quello che abbiamo fatto l'anno scorso. E poi Antonella mi ha proposto un compito di traduzione dall'inglese all'italiano molto utile e anche divertente. Grazie mille e a presto, Antonella!

Antonella is a fantastic teacher! I feel that my ability to speak Italian has improved a lot. Now I feel very comfortable speaking Italian. She is really good at explaining the grammar and she makes learning fun. I look forward to my lessons every week. If you really want to learn to speak Italian, I strongly recommend that you book a lesson.

Antonella is an excellent teacher! The lessons progress at good pace, yet they are calm and enjoyable. Her beginner workbooks have an organized, useful mix of reading, writing, and answering questions, and in class, she asks me a lot of similar questions in italian. At my level, it helps me that she is also fluent in English to explain specific points as needed. I really look forward to our classes together and am already seeing alot more progress than learning on my own. Grazie Antonella e italki!
