Muyoung

After more than 3 years and 300 lessons, I can say without a doubt that Muyoung has been a tremendous help in my Korean studies. He has consistently watched over my sentences; untiringly and patiently correcting my mistakes (no matter how often I make them); never spoon feeding me with grammar. Without this style of teaching, I don’t think I would have progressed the way I wanted to at all. Thank you for everything, Muyoung. It has bean interesting, learning with you. :)

Really great teacher!

Muyoung is attentive, always matching my level, and for an hour, transports me with his magic into an alternative world where I can already have a conversation in Korean.

Today is exactly 3 years since I first started learning Korean from Muyoung. He is my first and only Korean teacher simply because I feel so comfortable with him, his method of teaching, patience, and his calm and cheerful demeanour. He caters lessons to my needs and likes, and so, it is always a pleasure to learn from him. It was really difficult to learn Korean from scratch, but I think I am having the hang of it already.

I haven't had lessons as regularly as I used to because I was busy or travelling, but it was still fun to chat and be corrected during our interaction in korean. Am still struggling to speak at basic level, but this is good enough for me. My reading, listening, grammar, and understanding are much better than my spoken Korean, so there is still so much more to learn and practise. I am a retiree, slow to pick up a new language at my age, but Muyoung is so patient, attentive and respectful always. So don't be shy if you are a senior to learn from him. You won't regret it. And keep trying and don't give up. This journey of learning is tough but really fun, and sooner or later, you will feel proud to achieve at least a basic level of Korean.
