I am a native speaker and live in South of China. I was a professional Chinese teacher in a Primary school since I graduated from university, I love my students. Later, I had an opportunity to work with many foreign colleagues in a international trade company, they always asked me to teach them Chinese, so here I am, back as a teacher, my students are from all over the world. I really enjoy being a Chinese teacher. I will share what I know with my students in order to help them learn Chinese better.

Welcome to Maggie's class:
Each student has different characteristics and different learning levels. When you learn Chinese, you need to know what the purpose and function of learning Chinese. For example: it is for Daily communication? Settling and working in China? only for traveling? Therefore I will make different teaching plans according to different learning purpose.
Normally, I teach my students through these basic methods as below:
1. Start with basic knowledge, so that arouse your interest in learning Chinese;
2. Material object and simple actions teaching;
3. Asking some questions;
4. Text book teaching;
5. Listening and singing Chinese songs;

Of course, in addition to the above basics, we will develop different teaching methods according to students' respective characteristics. Learning Chinese depends on continuous accumulation.

Hong Li is an extremely knowledgeable in all facets of culture, history, economics, and social issues. Therefore, during her lesson she introduces her student to a plethora of new vocabulary, and engages the student in a series of question and answer discussions, I highly recommend her to anyone wishing to improve or increase their language learning skills.

Excellent lesson and Amazing teacher! In class, we saw my homework where Maggie gave corrections explaining what was wrong. Then, we made some speaking about the topic of success giving our points of view, read three texts and Maggie asked me some questions to see if I have understood them.
So, today was another comprehensive lesson which include all the skills. As usual, Maggie is punctual and organized with the activies to do: she is skillful and she exactly knows what she has to do or say during the class. In addition, she provides great feedback to let me know my progress and she is always at the student's disposa if he need something. Thanks to Maggie, my Chinese is getting better every day. She is an excellent Chinese teacher, but also a lovely and precious person. Her lessons are valuable as ten stars lesson. Great experience. 我们下个星期见面 ❤️

My first class with Hong Laoshi was one the best classes I've had on iTalki. Hong Laoshi not only is very well prepared with teaching materials and a willingness to adapt to her students' Chinese level, but perhaps more importantly, she makes a consistent effort during the class to keep the conversation going and ensuring you are actively learning the entire time you talk to her. I look forward to taking more classes with her!
