Dariya

Dariya is an exceptional Russian teacher, She brings a perfect balance of professionalism and warmth to every lesson, making learning both effective and enjoyable. Her deep knowledge of the Russian language and culture shines through in her teaching, and she always explains concepts clearly and patiently. Dariya has a talent for keeping lessons engaging and tailored to individual needs, whether it’s mastering grammar, improving pronunciation, or practicing conversation. Thanks to her guidance and encouragement, I feel more confident and excited about learning Russian. I couldn’t ask for a better teacher—highly recommended.

I've taken a couple dozen lessons with Daria now and am very impressed with her proficiency, patience, and commitment to teaching. She has many, many resources available for different levels and is willing to explain simple errors that I make over and over (and over). Thank you so much, Dariya! That was one of our most engaging, interesting, and satisfying classes to date, and I cannot wait to dive deeper into poetry and the cultural wealth of Russia. And as a relative beginner, it feels surreal being able to engage in such deep topics while practicing my Russian - albeit with a lot of homework. We started going into the poetry of Marina Tsvetaeva, and yes, our classes do often have a university-seminar vibe to them - provided that we’re willing to put in the work outside of class, which is definitely worth it!

The first lesson was excellent! I liked how Dariya previewed all materials. She explained how each resource and/or material will be used and what to expect for each lesson. I enjoyed learning the letters and sounds of the Russian alphabet. She gave clear explanations and examples on how to articulate the various sounds. I look forward to expanding my skills in the Russian language!
