Great lesson with Carmen! Carmen gave me a lot of example sentences, and explained the new vocabulary to me. She also slowed down and helped me when I got stuck on pronunciation. At the end of class, she had me say the example sentences - which was very helpful!

Great first lesson with Carmen! Carmen explained how people use Cantonese in daily life and we talked about the challenges facing learners. Carmen explained that knowing Mandarin will make it easier, and that it wasn't necessary to learn traditional characters. It was an interesting lesson!
