Hello, everyone! I am Elena. I am from Guangzhou, a city in south China.
My Chinese name is Jiaxian; I am a native speaker of Mandarin and Cantonese.

When I was in New Zealand for a working holiday a few years ago, I realized that learning their language is always the best way to know more about different cultures. After experiencing lessons with other teachers, I can confidently say that I REALLY enjoyed my second class with her! She made learning fun, and our lesson was well-structured yet flexible, allowing me to speak a lot without feeling lost or unsure of what to say. Talking to her felt so natural, almost like chatting with a friend. I’ll definitely be taking more classes with her!

Learned a lot of new things today! Whenever I was unsure of something or didn't know the character used for the jyutping, the teacher provided explanations for the words and would provide the written character in chat.
