Hi! I'm Nessma, a passionate language teacher.
Outside of teaching, I’m someone who loves languages, cultures, and connecting with people from different backgrounds. I have a deep passion for linguistics and enjoy learning new languages myself—I’m currently exploring German, Turkish, and French! In my free time, I love reading, especially about mythology and history, and I also have a keen interest in fitness and healthy living. I believe that learning is a lifelong journey, and I’m always looking for new ways to grow and challenge myself. I’ve been teaching languages for years, helping students from all over the world improve their Arabic (both Egyptian and Standard) and English. My teaching journey started in 2019, and since then, I’ve worked with learners of all levels, from absolute beginners to advanced speakers.

Today, I had my first Arabic lesson with Nessma on italki, and I am thoroughly impressed. Nessma demonstrated outstanding teaching skills and a deep understanding of both the language and the learning process.

Nessma feels confident enough in my speaking ability at this point to converse with me almost all in Arabic and this is a huge plus and has helped expound my skills to the next level. She knows what things I need to speak about and the frequency of words and concepts for me to practice so that I can learn them to fluency. I am very grateful for the way she listens and converses in Arabic and I can't wait to learn more and more from her as I make mistakes and learn to correct them with her assistance for the next time. I am so glad I have worked with her consistently for over 6 months and I will continue to do so.

I took about 10 Arabic lessons with Nessma before going on vacation to Egypt. Nessma is an amazing teacher! She is kind, knowledgeable, helpful, and really goes above and beyond for her students. She customized the lessons to exactly what I needed to know for my trip. I would recommend her to anyone. 'Alfi shukr Nessma!

We conversed about different topics and I learned a lot of new vocabulary and got a refresher on some old ones as well. It was very nice to get good feedback while speaking. Next lesson we will study the past tense.

Nessma was helpful as always in allowing the conversation to move smoothly and flow naturally. She is very good about correcting me while ensuring we stick to Arabic for speaking practice and I've learned so much from her. I'm so glad that she told me I've been improving quite a bit. A lot of that is thanks to her and her patience with me. I can't wait for our next lesson.
