Maria is such a nice and energetic teacher. You learn Spanish in a relaxed, fun, and hands-on way. Totally tailored to your needs. I can definitely recommend Maria.

María is an excellent teacher. I am studying abroad in Chile soon and she has done so much to help me prepare. I am very thankful for her guidance, her organization, her positive energy and her knowledge. She has taught me about the culture, vocabulary, medical system, and food in Chile. I feel much more equipped for my journey!

I remember the first class I took with Maria and I thought it would be so difficult because I did not know any spanish to begin with and I also wasn't sure about one on one lessons. lol Then, as time went on I seen that she actually put in effort to get to know my learning style. She wasn't like most teachers who read from a book all the time and that's it. She asks you things and actually takes into consideración what you would like and how you learn next thing you know we are sharing recipes in español and songs..Two things I love. Eating and singing is two of the things I enjoy the most and come to find out she loves it too:) So, if you do decide to take this Journey with her just know lo vale la pena:)

Another great class with Maria. She helped me with relative pronouns using many examples and exercises. There was also conversation to help cement the ideas in practice.

Classes with Maria are incredibly helpful. She patiently addresses all of my annoying questions about grammar while remaining focussed on the overall goal of effective communication. Classes involve a nice balance of conversation and instruction (and often instruction via conversation). She always comes to class with material prepared ahead of time, including exercises, stories, or simply question prompts related to the class topic. In my case I am also trying to improve my Chilean spanish, so she is sprinkling in "chilenismos" throughout the class when ever she can, which I really love. But regardless of your goals, I would recommend her as a teacher. She is always receptive to my suggestions for class topics, so I am sure she is more than happy to work with you toward your specific goals.
