I believe students should first trust their teacher in order to have a dynamic learning environment. I have become aware that teaching is not really about teaching, it’s about learning. It doesn’t matter how good I think I am as a teacher if my students aren't learning, then I am not succeeding. Teaching should be student-centered starting from student needs and objectives and not from what the teacher wants them to put in their heads. This was my first lesson with Ismail, having tried one or two other Indonesian/Malay teachers, and it was lovely. I'll definitely choose him as my teacher in future.
