I have 15 years teaching experience and offer three specializations:
1. Test Preparation (telc, Goethe, TestDAF, fide, SDS (completed training for TestDAF, examiner for telc)).
2. Interview Preparation & Business - certified for Business English (I can help with Business German) / Job-coach
3. Medical / Medizin - telc certified for doctors
Additionally, I offer pronunciation classes with targeted exercises to get you to a native-like pronunciation (a topic often neglected).
My native tongue is German. I speak accent-free Standard German and I am fluent in English as well.
Minha atuação como professor
My background is linguistics (Master of Arts) with many years of language teaching experience and an understanding of the structure of languages. In my final thesis I explored how cultural differences are manifested in languages and how they are mistakingly carried into target languages by learners.
I have worked as a language teacher on almost all levels (except with toddlers and children). I have taught groups and individuals at university and school level as well as in business environments. Many of my current clients are from Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

I had 2 weeks to prepare to do the SDS exam aiming at an A2. I booked daily preparation classes with Manuel during those 2 weeks. After 2-3 classes I immediately felt I had progressed heavily. Manuel has a very good technique, is very efficient, engaged and always comes prepared and provides excellent materials via different online platforms. I have now done the exam and received my results. I obtained an A2 in the listening and speaking section and a B1 in the writing and reading comprehension. These results are even better than I expected! I would recommend anyone preparing for the SDS exam to book classes with Manuel.

Manuel is a truly outstanding tutor: knowledgeable, prepared and professional. What I appreciate the most, however, is his compassionate approach. Excellent interview perpetration lesson. Manuel took the time to review my CV and write personal questions as well as go though a list of frequent and difficult questions. Manuel covered not only the German language aspect of the interview, but also mindset and approach. Very much a coach as well as a teacher. Shortly after the lesson I received a word document with all of the questions we went through and also feedback from the lesson. I couldn't be more impressed with the quality of the lesson. Highly recommended.

Manuel is really well prepared for my customised sessions for interviews. The way he conducted the class was very impressive and I highly recommend Manuel to anyone who would like to have a flexible (I have very busy travelling schedule) , knowledgeable, and attentive teacher.
