Hi, I'm Michelle! I'm from Sydney, Australia. My native language is English, which I speak with a standard Australian accent, and I also speak fluent German.
I am an extremely experienced teacher, as I spent over 25 years teaching mathematics before I shifted my focus to language education. I teach both English and German, as well as providing general language coaching services. I particularly enjoy helping my students to develop confidence in their language abilities. Since I am also a language learner, I have an excellent understanding of the typical challenges students face.

My lessons are ideal for the following types of students:
English lessons:
- Adults who already have a good general knowledge of English grammar, but need to improve their speaking, pronunciation, listening, reading, writing and comprehension skills to feel more comfortable communicating with native English speakers
- Someone who plans to live in or visit Australia OR is a native German speaker
German lessons:
- English speakers in the beginner or intermediate stages of their German learning journey who would like to develop a deeper understanding of the inner workings of the language (grammar, vocabulary, etc)

English lessons:
I help adults develop the skills they need to successfully interact with native speakers in English. In my professionally guided communication training sessions, I'll teach you how to express yourself with confidence in clear and authentic English. I also offer English conversation lessons.
German lessons:
I teach German in English for English speakers, using a combination of my own teaching materials and story-based text analysis techniques. My students find it invaluable to be able to improve their understanding of German without the added pressure of being taught in the language itself.

With over 200 hours of lesson time under my belt with Michelle, I can say without a doubt that she's an incredible English teacher. Check my lesson hours with Michelle, and trust me, you won't find a more patient and dedicated teacher. You can book her classes, but don't book too many or there won’t be any time slots for me! (Just kidding, but seriously, she's that good!)

The first lesson with Michelle just ended and I would like to recommend this teacher with all my heart. Michelle is friendly and ready to help you with finding the right word to express your thoughts. She asked some questions about my level and goals in English. At the end of the lesson, I obtained a short review of my skills and some further recommendations. I felt that I was in the hands of a professional :)

she is a patient and professional teacher. She helped me find out how to pronounce "THS"this kind of combination by showing physically. I appreciate her professional and useful help in prounouciation indeed!
