I grew up bilingual (German-Italian) and have lived in various European countries. With a degree in Psychology, I've worked as a researcher in academia and at a psychiatric hospital. My interests include culture, theater, acting, movies, and health. 😊

I am curious, open-minded, and flexible, always striving to adapt to your individual needs. I believe that the more intrinsic motivation you have, the more effective your learning will be! I start by assessing my student's level and discussing their needs, language background, and preferred learning methods. I use a shared Google Doc to track our lessons, important rules, vocabulary, and exercises. I also have various grammar exercises and beginner books, but I’m open to whatever my students want to focus on. I enjoy incorporating newspaper articles, cultural topics, and books into lessons. While I like having a rough plan, I also believe in staying flexible and adapting as we go.Meu material de ensino

It was my first lesson with Martina. The lesson was excellent. Martina is a naturally gifted teacher and a great conversationalist. In addition she is really supportive and encouraging. The lesson was free flowing and the feedback excellent and very useful. Many thanks Martina.

Martina was excellent. She demonstrated very good children skills and was very patient with my child. I like that speaks Portuguese too, since we speak both Portuguese and English at home.
