Today we spoke about what I did this weekend. Of course we ended up talking about food again! ;-D Lisa sensei went to a mall with her French friend. We spoke about the prices of her lunch and she introduced me to a chain that I didn't know yet. I will try it out on my next trip to Japan!

Today we spoke about Lisa sensei's birthday! I was interesting to see the all you can eat Italian restaurant. And it wasn't very expensive! We also spoke a bit more about the Dutch circle party concept, and we spoke about Dutch children birthday parties! I went to swimming pools a lot when I was a kid, but later on birthday parties also went to things like laser gaming and kart racing. It was a lot of fun talking about my childhood memories I was surprised when the lesson time was finished haha. I'm looking forward to the next lesson! :-)

Today we spoke about a second fireworks festival Lisa sensei visited. She shared a lot of nice video's! We also spoke about the Indonesian food I had during the weekend. We also compared Dutch and Japanese birthday parties. And of course we spoke about birthday cakes! Dutch cakes are very sweet. In Japan it is popular to buy ice cream cake from baskin robins! They look tasty! Today is Lisa sensei's birthday. happy birthday Lisa sensei!!! ٩(｡•́‿•̀｡)۶

Today we spoke about the Gifu fireworks show that Lisa sensei attended! It was fun to hear the story and see all the pictures. Hopefully I will be able to see a Japanese fireworks show next summer! :-D

Today I told Lisa sensei about all the Japanese food my friend and I are during the weekend. I showed her a lot of pictures and we compared some habits, like adding lemon to fish dishes, with habits in the Netherlands. We also add lemon to fish dishes! :-D We then spoke about tipping culture and how it affects wages. We also spoke about the difference in tipping cultures in different countries like the USA, The Netherlands, Germany, South Africa and Japan. It's interesting how local culture influences they way we tip, and what kind of service we expect! :-) We then talked about the usage of robots and self checkout registers in stores and restaurants. I wonder what the future will bring us! :-)

Today we talked about my trip to germany. I showed a lot of pictures and told Lisa sensei about Cologne, Leverkusen and Essen. There are many factories in these cities! But they also have parks in between, with a Japanese garden! And in Essen there is a big museum about the ruhr area and a big factory site with a mine has become an unesco world heritage site. It was fun to talk about it! :-)
