I have been teaching Italian for 8 years to students from different nationalities at two International Schools and through private lessons. Quando insegno lascio molto spazio alla conversazione, se lo studente lo richiede fornisco tutto il materiale (esercizi, compiti, argomenti per scrivere testi). Cerco di motivare lo studio anche avendo conversazioni con i miei studenti e seguendoli durante tutta la settimana con messaggi ed email.

Hi, I have 8 years of experience in teaching in an Italian highschool. My lessons are focused on CONVERSATION. We start from there, speaking about art, culture, science, news, politics, sports... and of course your everyday life. From there we can dive into GRAMMAR whenever is needed. Also, I am half British, so switching to English is always an option. I also enjoy to discover, together with my students, the word ETYMOLOGY. English and Italian languages have a lot in common. Insegnante di italiano con oltre 6 anni di insegnamento Ho studiato per 5 anni latino e greco al liceo, dove la grammatica era al centro dell'attenzione, con l'esperienza ho però capito che per iniziare ad apprendere una nuova lingua (cosa che ho sperimentato con l'inglese e lo spagnolo) è importante avere un ruolo attivo nell'apprendimento. In fondo, Leggere libri e siti in italiano non è poi così complicato, Scrivere email e documenti di lavoro già presuppone una maggiore conoscenza della lingua, ma Parlare italiano… beh, è tutta un’altra storia e richiede un approccio ad hoc. Il Listening (l’ascolto della lingua) non basta: se vuoi davvero imparare a parlare in italiano devi fare pratica.

There, I realized that I enjoyed learning other languages and that I could help others to do so, as I could speak about languages for hours! Since I started working, I have never stopped! I looked for and found work in Italy, France, Romania and Germany in different schools and international institution, like the Istituto italiano di cultura of Bucharest or High school in Germany.
