Giulia encourages us to present a topic to her other students at the appropriate level who are willing to attend (and gives us the free opportunity to be the audience for other students’ presentations). This challenges us to get out of our comfort zones and interact in Italian with a wider range of people. Such a creative teacher!

In 6 months of studying with Roberta, my spoken Italian has improved significantly. When I started, I had only the ability to speak basic sentences, and now I feel confident during daily conversations in a variety of situations. My favorite thing about lessons with Roberta is that it feels like I’m meeting a friend - I’m totally comfortable being myself, and we have interesting conversations on a variety of topics spanning philosophy, spirituality, health, and culture. Her level of English is basically native, so she knows how to properly translate any English idioms or phrases. Roberta is always prepared for our lessons with conversation starters, offers options like grammar drills and role-playing for real-life situations, and provides written corrections. She speaks enough to keep the conversation flowing and engage my listening skills while giving me the maximum opportunity to practice my speaking. I leave every conversation feeling satisfied and looking forward to the next one!

I LOVE my lessons with Michela! She's a warm, friendly, encouraging, and patient teacher who creates a safe space where I feel comfortable making mistakes--incredibly important in language learning. She's also very positive and energetic and laser focused on my learning needs. Every class is individualized and appropriate for my level, so I am challenged but not frustrated. The teaching method she uses (providing a story so I can prepare prior to each class), is effective and fun! The hour flies by, and I look forward to my class each week. I've made a lot of progress during my time with Michela and, most of all, my speaking confidence has grown tremendously. You will not find a better teacher; she's the best!

I can’t recommend Giorgio highly enough as an Italian tutor. I have been working with him for the past few months, and the improvement in my Italian has been remarkable. I feel much more confident speaking, my vocabulary has expanded significantly, and I’m finally beginning to have real conversations rather than simply constructing sentences in my head. Giorgio is incredibly patient, encouraging, and genuinely fun to learn with. He has a creative way of teaching that makes every lesson interesting and engaging. Our conversations feel natural and relevant, but he also knows exactly when to introduce a grammar lesson or correct something I’m struggling with. He covers grammar thoroughly, but in a way that makes it interesting and memorable rather than tedious. If you’re looking for a tutor who will help you become more comfortable, confident, and conversational in Italian while actually enjoying the process, I highly recommend Giorgio!

After trying to take classes with many different teachers, Francesca was the one who kept me motivated and helped me stay consistent with my studies. She is extremely organised, understanding of her students’ needs, and able to adapt her teaching methods to their individual needs and personalities. Her explanations are clear and well structured, and she uses a variety of tools and approaches to achieve the learning objectives. She is also clearly passionate about teaching languages. I started taking classes with her to prepare for the B1 Italian citizenship exam, and she helped me progress from an A1 level to B1 in just a few months. I successfully passed the B1 exam with a score of 44/48, mostly thanks to her help.

Beatrice is an amazing teacher, she is always very patient and perfectly aligns the level of conversation with one's abilities. At the same she manages to blend in new phrases and grammatical structures. She is always well-prepared, focused and helpful, she's one of the best teachers I've ever had

Si vede subito che è un'insegnante certificata perché ogni lezione segue un percorso chiaro e ben organizzato. Grazie a lei mi sento molto più preparata e sicura di me. I have grown very fond of Marta. She has a way of explaining things to me that help me to understand the logic behind what I am learning. I can come to class sometimes feeling like I am struggling and she breaks it all down for me to easily understand. She gives me time for it to 'click' in my head before moving on. As difficult as this is right now, she gives me hope that it won't be so hard forever. She helps me feel like this is attainable and one day, I will be fluent.

I cannot recommend working with Veronica enough! She is incredibly easy to talk to and to understand and I have learned SO much. I've tried working with other teachers but Veronica is by far my favorite. I can feel how much I've improved even after just six lessons with her. I've recommended her to everyone in my life interested in learning Italian. Thank you, Veronica!

Unlike less experienced instructors, Michela knows how to create a framework where even a cold beginner like myself is able to speak Italian (on limited, well-defined topics) during the sessions. Less experienced instructors talk at you too much and are not interested in your broken, painful to hear Italian. Not Michela. She's knows what is "good" coming from a beginner, and appreciates your slow, painful effort at piecing the words together. She enables you to actually practice the language. Surprisingly, less experienced instructors aren't so interested in that after the first session or two. Michela is also super energetic, positive, and encouraging, even late in the evening. She transforms learning Italian from painful to engaging.
