Composition: Children’s Day Celebration
Today was Children’s Day. We celebrated it in school with no lessons nor homework.
A performance was held in the hall. Some students did cartwheels, others even conjured tricks. I sang. Everyone cheered as we wrapped it up. Then we headed back to our classroom to decorate here and there with balloons and streamers.
There went a party. Our form teacher, Mrs. White, introduced us a new game - playing jacks. You have to spread the jacks on the ground, then bounce a rubber ball against the floor, snatch as many jacks as you can before you use the same hand catch the ball in the air. Very thoughtfully, Mrs. White prepped many sets for all of us to have a go. Time flew quickly, but at the end of the day, we all got the hang of it.
At last, we were drawn aback by a huge triple-layered cake that our teacher had taken out of nowhere. Everyone had a huge chunk. It was the best Children’s Day ever.
