はい、こんにちは。今回はポッドキャストのシーズン３の５回目です。前回のエピソードで体調不良についてお話ししたら、何人かの生徒さんが心配してくれました。検査は受けていませんが、症状はもう治りました。おそらく、ただの食中毒だったと思います。私は元気です。いつもポッドキャストを聞いてくださって、ありがとうございます。

Hello. This is episode 5 of season 3 of my podcast. After I talked about my health problems in the last episode, some of my students were concerned. I haven't been tested (for a stomach ulcer), but my symptoms are gone now. It was probably just food poisoning. I am fine. Thanks again for listening to the podcast.

もうすぐ春なので、新しい生徒さんが増えています。春は新しいことを始めたくなる季節ですね。私も現在いろいろなことを計画しています。たとえば、エピソード３でワイヤレスイヤホンを買った話をしました。なので先週、イヤホンをデスクトップパソコンでも使えるようにするために、パソコンに無線LANカードを取り付けました。無線LANカードのWi-FiやBluetoothは思ったより良かったので、キーボードもマウスもワイヤレスにしようと計画しています。そうすればケーブルが少なくなって、机の周りがすっきりします。

It's almost spring and I have more new students. Spring is the season when you want to start something new. I’m currently planning a lot of things myself. For example, in episode 3 I talked about buying wireless earphones. So last week, I installed a wireless LAN card in my computer so that I can use the earphones with my desktop computer. The Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on the wireless LAN card were better than I expected, so I plan to make the keyboard and mouse wireless as well. That way there will be fewer cables and a cleaner desk area.

計画はもう一つあります。私はよくベッドで本を読みますが、うちにはサイドテーブルがないので、飲み物を置く場所がありません。私は家で運動するので、部屋にサイドテーブルを置きたくありません。インターネットでカップホルダーを探しましたが、なかなかちょうどいいサイズのものがありません。そこで３Dプリンターを使って、ベッドのヘッドボードにつけられるカップホルダーを作ろうと考えています。３Dモデルを自分でモデリングしてデータを送ると、３Dプリントしてくれるサービスがあります。

While we all have good ideas, sadly, most of them never see the light of day. People keep their ideas to themselves for many reasons. Perhaps they don’t like speaking up in meetings or feel overburdened by work and don’t want to invite more work. Maybe they’ve brought up ideas at work before, and others didn’t seem interested or even discouraged them. After all, most people don’t recognize the potential of an idea at first.

But of course, we all benefit from good ideas. In the workplace, they can lead to the creation of entirely new products and services, an easier way to do something, time saved, or countless other benefits.

Paris attend les Jeux olympiques! (Paris awaits the Olympic Games!)
Les Américains aiment le sport, et cette année, le monde du sport se tourne vers la France ! Savez-vous pourquoi ?  Les Jeux olympiques d'été auront lieu à Paris du 26 juillet au 11 août 2024. C'est la troisième fois que la Ville Lumière accueille cet événement international important.

En ce moment, Paris se prépare pour les Jeux. On peut voir le compte à rebours s'afficher dans la ville.  Les athlètes du monde entier s'entraînent dur pour être prêts à concourir.  Bientôt, la France vibrera au rythme des Jeux !
