한국 음식은 세계적으로도 큰 인기를 끌고 있죠. 특히 김치, 비빔밥, 불고기 같은 음식들은 외국에서도 많이 알려져 있어요. 셰프님께서는 전통 음식을 어떻게 소개하고 계신가요?

🍽 셰프:
저는 전통 음식을 조금 더 현대적인 감각으로 풀어내면서도, 본래의 맛과 정체성을 유지하려고 노력하고 있어요. 예를 들어, 비빔밥 같은 경우는 색깔과 재료를 다양하게 조합해서 젊은 사람들도 쉽게 접근할 수 있도록 만들고, 전통적인 한정식은 간소화해서 부담 없이 즐길 수 있도록 변형하고 있죠.

정말 흥미롭네요! 그러면 요즘 외국인들에게 가장 인기 있는 한국 음식은 무엇인가요?

🍽 셰프:
아무래도 한식의 대표적인 음식인 김치와 불고기는 여전히 인기 있고요. 최근에는 '한식 디저트'도 관심을 많이 받고 있어요. 예를 들어, 인절미를 활용한 디저트나, 팥을 활용한 디저트들이 외국인들에게도 사랑받고 있죠.

맞아요! 저도 요즘 한식 디저트 카페가 많이 생기는 걸 보면서 정말 반가웠어요. 그런데 한국 음식은 단순한 요리가 아니라, 문화와도 깊은 관련이 있잖아요?

🍽 셰프:
그렇죠. 한국 음식에는 철학이 담겨 있어요. 대표적으로 ‘밥과 반찬’ 문화는 조화와 균형을 중요하게 생각하는 한국인의 식습관을 반영하고 있어요. 또, 제사 음식이나 명절 음식 같은 경우도 단순한 음식이 아니라 가족과 전통을 이어주는 중요한 역할을 하죠.
