It’s overcast today, a brief period of sunshine didn’t chase away the bleak air even for
a little while. My mom has gotten more and more into cooking. Now she even talks like a
gourmet chef, unlike us, she focuses on inconspicuous details. I can’t translate
the words she uses to describe textures, even with a thesaurus. My dad is
more than happy to encourage her development! Who doesn’t dream having an adept cook at home?
You can be ecstatic to see something or find something out, or alternatively 'delighted', or even be ecstatic to he doing something (present continuous) but not to do something generally (present simple), because ecstatic is a feeling in the moment an intense form of pleasure, so I don't think it works with the present simple, which implies a regular action. Well, others might disagree, let's see!
