I came across an article online about "Wireless Power Transfer” [WPT] for cars and would like to share what I’ve found here. Lately, we have been often led to charge our mobile devices during the day due to the spreading of smartphones and tables. Inside the car, the WPT is very useful because we can charge our devices easily without a charging cable. The WPT is a technology that uses an electromagnetic induction generated between chargers and devices and provides power through an electromagnetic field. This allows devices to charge without cables. This technology is not only convenient but is also very safe. It's because we don't have to plug in during getting behind the wheel and prevent from being distracting. The WPT used to charge slowly and wasn’t very efficient but the current technological advancements have drastically improved the speed and efficiency. Thanks to this, the WPT can quickly charge many kinds of mobile devices such as wireless earphones as well as tablets and smartphones. On top of that, since wearable devices such as fitness trackers and smart watches are also becoming popular these days, the need for charging them in the car has also been increasing lately. Many cars have recently been equipped with WPT. This is due to the spreading of electrical vehicles [EVs] and hybrid electric cars. Unfortunately, my car doesn't currently have this function. Hence, I'd love to get a new car with/featuring this function next time I make a purchase because I won't have to worry about the battery being depleted in the future. I'm not sure if I can afford it though.
