Winter Solstice---Dongzhi Festival,do you hear of it?

Winter Solstice is a time for the family to get together. In Gregorian calendar, it is around Dec 22nd or 23rd.The origins of this festival can be traced back to the yin and yang philosophy of balance and harmony in the cosmos. After this celebration, there will be days with longer daylight hours and therefore an increase in positive energy flowing in.

In China,One activity that occurs during these get togethers (especially in the southern parts of China and in Chinese communities overseas) is the making and eating of Tangyuan or balls of glutinous rice, which symbolize reunion, while Northerners may have dumplings and raviolis that day Some places even have the tradition to offer sacrifices to the heaven and earth.

Personally,I really like this festival.I can go back home to have a gorgeous short rest.Today I can eat lots of delicious food like Jiaozi,Dongzhiyuan, especially Maijiao(like an amplifying spring roll, full of various tasty ingredients.I can choose anything i like to wrap in).Wow,mentioning it,i cannot help eating it.Hope that I will not get fatter.Futhermore,i rather enjoy the making process with my families!

Besides,I see that spring is coming soon after this bloody cold winter.Ah,it occurs to me that Christmas is on the way,Merry Christmas to you all!Just enjoy beautiful moment and be happy-go-lucky!
