Comparing the Spring Festival with Christmas
In China, we have the Spring Festival. In Western countries, they have Christmas. Every nation has its own folk festival.
The Spring Festival and Christmas have much in common. Both are festivals about New Years. Both are happy festivals. People will prepare a lot of foods for offering a family reunions. Children all can get receive gifts and new clothes.
However, there are many differences between the Spring Festival and Christmas. The Spring Festival has a long history, which originated from of a fairy tale. Christmas has a religious background regarding for God, and there is Santa Claus with a white beard to who brings children presents. During the Spring Festival, the tradition is that people eating a variety of dishes every day such as dumplings, noodles, spring rolls, sticky rice cakes, and stuffed rice balls. People eat different foods, because each food has a meaning as well. When the sun goes down on December 24th, Christmas begins in for families and churches. Family members often decorate the a Christmas tree around this time of year. Parents will give gifts for to their children.
Different festivals influnce different national people nations. People in Western countries, who are happy, open, enthusiastic, optismistic, and full of fantasy. And They believe in Christ. Westerners advocate change, while the Chinese are easy to keep more conservative. Chinese people are modest, cautious, implicit, positive enterprising, and tolerant. It is very important that people are loyalty and filial piety pious in China.
Nowadays, some of the Chinese youth has have begun to celebrate celebrating Christmas. It has great contribution to the cross-cultural barrier of communication. Though the folk from these festivals, people all hold the same purpose desires, in which wish they will wish to be healthier, wealthier and happier at in the following next year.
