IELTS writing:The private companies pay for more on scientific research is beneficial. This is my first writing on italki. It’s an IELTS writing topic. I am preparing for IELTS exam now. Topic: In today’s world, it is private companies rather than government who pay for and carry out most on scientific research. Do you think the advantages outweigh the disadvantages? A increasing number of big companies pay for money on the scientific researches to show their corporate social responsibilities or develop new produces today. Most of them even pay more than the government. I think the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. Having enough money is important for the scientific researches, but the government’s funding is limited. If big company can pay more money on it, the scientists will have a better work environment and advanced facilities to research. They will have more chances to go abroad to join some academic meeting, communicate with other scientists from different countries. They will be beneficial to improve their work efficiency and obtain more achievements on research. The government reduce the money on scientific researches to put them on education，transportation system etc. to improve people’s life standard. If more children have opportunity to get education, the rate of youth crime will be reduced. A great transportation system will help people save more time to do what they interest in. Therefore they will have more time to enjoy their life and do more meaningful things instead of wasting time on the road. But there are some disadvantages. Such as the private company just pay attention to the project what they are good for. It will induce develop unevenly. It will have negative impact on economy. Even if it has some disadvantages, they can be solved by laws or rules. To sum up,as long as the authorities have good management, more pay from private company has more advantages.The most important is using money more effectively to do more meaningful things.

Topic: In today’s world, it is private companies rather than government who pay for and carry out most on scientific research. Do you think the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?

An increasing number of big companies pay for money on the scientific researches to show their corporate social responsibilities or develop new produces products, today. Most of them even pay more than the government. I think the advantages outweighs the disadvantages.

Having enough money is important for the scientific researches, but the government’s funding is limited. If big company companies can pay more money on it, then scientists will have a better work environment and more advanced facilities to research in. They will have more chances to go abroad to join some academic meetings, communicate with other scientists from different countries. They will be beneficial to for improve improving their work efficiency and obtaining more achievements on in/within research.

The government reduce the money on scientific researches to put them on it in education，on the transportation system etc. to improve people’s life living standards. If more children have the opportunity to get education, the rate of youth crime will be reduced. A greater transportation system will help people save more time to do what they are interested in. Therefore they will have more time to enjoy their life and do more meaningful things instead of wasting time on the road.

But there are some disadvantages. Such as the private company companies just paying attention to the project what they are good for [they are interested in - ?]. It will induce develop unevenly uneven development. It will have negative impact on the economy. Even if it has some disadvantages, they can hopefully be solved by laws or rules.

To sum up, as long as the authorities have good management [skills], more pay [investment] from private company companies has more advantages.The most important thing is using money more effectively to do more meaningful things.
