It was a beautiful sunny day. We got up early and went to a huge national park on an island. It was the largest park I've ever seen. We rented bikes and spent hours exploring the island along the coast.
I noticed something interesting: there were many large spiders on the trees or near the water, like literally everywhere! It scared me a lot, but the locals didn't seem to mind at all. I almost ran into spider webs several times while cycling. Trust me, these webs were not vacant. Some of the spiders were dangling from trees so low that I had to crawl under them on my bike to pass through the narrow trails in the woods.
Later, I realized something amazing: I hadn't been bitten by a single mosquito, even though I was in the woods the whole day. People keep spiders here to get rid of mosquitoes. What a brilliant idea!
